The Truth

If you believe in the benefit of spiritual cultivation, what benefit have you gotten so far? Maybe some, maybe not at all.

The external reality is the extension of one’s inner thoughts; therefore do not make the surface distinct in terms of whether something is good or not. These surface appearances are far away from your actual inner mindscape – they are not what you frequently use. What you use everyday is what you use without consideration, these are what Buddhism called “habitual tendencies.”

When you think someone or something is annoying, the truth is that “you” make him annoying and “you” make the situation an issue and suffer in it; the “annoying” person may not have any clue what’s going on in your mind and is simply being himself, but you are already in misery.
